Gas Safety
By law, Loddon Homes is responsible for making sure that any gas services in our rented properties are safe and well maintained.
We will conduct a gas safety inspection at least every 12 months, sometimes sooner, to make sure our appliances, pipework and flues are safe for use. If they are found to be faulty we will do what needs to be done to make them safe again.
If you are a Shared Owner you are responsible for servicing your gas appliances, pipework and flue once a year. This is a condition of your lease agreement with Loddon Homes.
Independent auditing
Such is the importance of effective gas safety inspections, we audit 10% of all inspections to make sure that the servicing programme is of a high quality and that the engineers are inspecting appliances against the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998.
